HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER

Every holiday season, VOA-GNY holds several drives to make the holidays special; from giving toys to children who are homeless to helping families put food on the table, and giving warm and wonderful presents to the forgotten men and women like the elderly, disabled, and the veterans.

We surpassed our original goal of $1500 and raised $2039 for the 'Holiday Gifts of the Heart' campaign! We are so grateful and humbled by the outpouring of support from our community. Thank you and see you in 2022!!

Operation Backpack

We successfully fundraised $1050 for VOA-GNY's Operation Backpack! Because of generous supporters like you, more than 15,000 children living in nearby shelters started the year with a backpack filled with school supplies!! Thank you!!

Aditi and Anjali also got a rare opportunity to volunteer in person to help with the school supplies distribution. Pics below!

Ms. Melody Ortega was so kind to us while we volunteered at their center to help sort the school supplies!!

A physically exhausting day, but so rewarding to see and experience the impact our small fundraiser had!

Donated Indian Rupees 50,000 to the orphanage in India get the supplies they needed to care for the kids. They were devastatingly impacted during the COVID surge in India. Although we had budgeted to buy the children a new set of uniforms for school, the need for basic groceries was far greater than the uniforms. So we instead filled up their food pantry with the requested necessities.

March is Developmental Disability Awareness month and we hope to raise awareness and promote full inclusion of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities everywhere by being a part of this fundraiser for Midland Foundation!

We reached our goal of raising $1000, thanks to our generous donors! We're so happy to have raised this much for a cause beloved to us!
